first_imgCouncillor Mac Giolla Easbuig with Frances Boyle, manager of the centre.A local county councillor has hit out at the delay in addressing erosion affecting a local community centre.Micheál Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig has said that it is a disgrace that it has taken so long to deal with the issue of erosion that is affecting the Maghery community and especially its community centre.Sand coming from the local sand dunes is blowing across towards the community centre.“I called out today again to Maghery to speak to some people within the community and to see how I can best support a resolution to this.“I have been in contact with the Donegal county council again today and have been informed that there is a number of meetings scheduled between roads section, environment and also the Maghey community.“As well as this I have been told that Coleraine University will conduct a study of the situation on Maghery Strand in conjunction with the community.
