When the score got out of hand in Oklahoma State’s 59-24 victory against Tulsa on Thursday night, Kirk Tucker entered at star linebacker, not Kenneth Edison-McGruder and not Calvin Bundage. That was fine, but Bundage hadn’t played at all in the second half while the starters were still in. Bundage took a blow to the head. He entered and passed the concussion protocol but did not come back. Edison-McGruder, who splits reps with Bundage, said his running mate is fine.“Everything is great,” Edison-McGruder said. “Everything is great with Calvin. Everything is great with the whole defense. We’re ready to fly around next week.” Bundage, despite playing just one half, had a solid game in the win. He finished with three tackles and seemed to be all over the field. He was even involved in several blitz packages defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer dialed up.We fully expect Bundage to play as well as he was listed on the depth chart, and Mike Gundy did not say otherwise in his weekly press conference. If you’re looking for the comments section, it has moved to our forum, The Chamber.
